The first day of spring is called the
Vernal Equinox.
Spring started on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 3:29 A.M. (PDT) in southern California. It is called the Vernal Equinox. There are two times when the sun is exactly above the equator.
1. The Autumnal Equinox is in September. (First day of fall.)
2. The Vernal Equinox is in March. (First day of spring.)
Equinox means equal night and there are nearly twelve hours of day and twelve hours of night.
One sign of spring is the abundance of colorful flowers that start blooming everywhere!
The California poppy is the state flower. They are popping up everywhere.

The mariposa lily can be found on hiking trails. The beautiful bloom is a quite picturesque!
Lilac bushes are starting to blossom in backyards! What a lovely aroma!

My favorite thing about spring is when all the plant and trees bloom.I also like when the birds make up there songs and sing.It sound's beautiful. whats your favorite part about spring? I like when the flowers change colors and trees start to bloom I also like to walk by the smell of flowers and when I walk by.

The first reason why spring is amazing is because it’s beautiful when the flowers start to bloom. In this time of year all of the animals come back. Animals mostly have babies in the spring, so they can feed their babies grass. (Bear babies are called cubs). When spring is here the day is longer and the same for night . What is your favorite season of the year?

First of all, its the season where we have so school!
Second, it encourages my family to go swimming a lot!
And last, summer is my favorite season in the year, because my birthday is in the summer!
