Pumpkins and Turkeys!

The leaves are changing which means it's almost Thanksgiving!
Fall is a special time for us because it means that we are baking.....Pumpkin Bread!

We had wonderful parent volunteers helping us stir and sift, measure and mash our deliciously donated ingredients. Thank you volunteers!

Below is a slideshow of our hard work (also included some Halloween activities)

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break!

What did you do for Thanksgiving?

Did you have a special meal planned?

What are you grateful for?

  1. For Thanksgiving I went to my family's friends house. And we played a game I don't have a name for it. But all I know is that the ball can't stop and it has to go at least 5 feet.In my meal I had turkey, rice salad. For dessert I had pie and a chocolate cake.I am thankful for a great life.
    What are you thankful for?

    Dear Mrs Tulbure,

I really like pumpkin bread. John-Paul's mom came our table to help us make pumpkin bread. Our favorite part was eating the classroom pumpkin bread!
John-Paul had his aunt over for Thanksgiving and it was our best cooked turkey yet!
Hyunsuh had a slow cooked turkey.

  3. Hello, it's Mark. This Thanksgiving break I went to my Great Aunt's House to eat dinner. The dinner I ate there was delicious because people came from their houses and brought their food that they made. After dinner I played with my Great Aunts dog and we love to play rough because we like getting hurt for some reason. While on he break I stayed home but had a lot of fun because I played with my dad and I got to rest and one night I got to party. That is all i did. What did you d for Thanksgiving?

    Sincerely,
    Mark

  4. Hi class it's Ben and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I had a great break. I went with my dad to his work for the day and the office next to his had a mom and her son. I know who the son is and I played with him and we had a room to ourselves and we played with his legos. We played on our iPads and then we watched a movie. After that we helped my dad's friends and I remembered then we took slides to the doctors and then I had to go home. I said bye to my friend and then we took off. When we got home we took my sister to gymnastics and then we had dinner. That's what I did for my break.
What did you do for your break?
    Sincerely,
    Ben

  5. I think that it is great that we get to cook in the classroom. Cooking is a great way to spend time. You can cook cookies, pumpkin bread, cake, muffins and lots of other yummy things.
If you're bored than try to cook.
    Do you like to cook?
    Warmly,
    Kiley

    1. Hi Kiley,

I do like to cook. I mostly like to make dessert. I think it is fun to make dessert. I am going to tell you three reasons why. The first one is because it is really easy to do. My second reason is because it is fun and people say that it is good and that makes me feel really good about myself. My last reason is because my brother always gets me mad and then when I start cooking it makes me not pay attention to my brother and I don’t have to scream at him. Do you have a brother and does he annoy you?

      Kindly, Keira

  6. Hi Boys and Girls, I love cooking pumpkin bread at home, but at school, it is a much more exciting experience. Pumpkin bread is as Delicious as a yummy treat . I love eating the sweetness inside. The Pumpkin bread we made was the best I
have ever had.I had a blast making pumpkin bread. The best thing about it is We got to decorate our boxes, and i especially liked the paper turkey i attached to the tin foil. The best part of making pumpkin bread in the classroom was that I got to cook with my classmates. I loved seeing the colors that everyone else used for their turkeys. The room shined with turkey colors and I therefore loved bringing it home to my family. Everyone in my household had some pumpkin bread and they all thought it tasted fabulous. Pumpkin bread is my favorite treat and I would love to make some again at school with my fellow classmates.Do you love pumpkin bread as munch as i do?
    Warmly,
    Ryan
